Hotel
This project involves the creation of a rural tourism development, situated in the municipality of Marvão, in the district of Portalegre, set within a landscape characterised by a strong sense of place and natural identity.
The proposal seeks to establish a balanced relationship between the architecture and the surrounding landscape, treating the site and its topography as key elements of the design. The layout is predominantly horizontal, following the natural morphology of the site and seeking to minimise the visual impact of the building on the landscape.
The architectural concept is based on a contemporary, understated and timeless style, whilst seeking to establish a connection with the region’s traditional architecture through the use of materials and construction methods with a natural appearance.
